THEBACKGROUND:Erin specializes in photography and design. She received her BA in Fine Arts from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2004. Erin has years of experience in the photography and design industry.THEART: Erin's photography began by photographing city streets and urban landscapes while capturing the energy of city life. Erin photography provides viewers with still images which leaves one feeling as if they are in the middle of the extravagant city architecture and experiencing he hustle and bustle the urban lifestyle brings. THEPHOTOGRAPHY: Erin began her modern, lifestyle photography by capturing memories of lifes milestones. A photograph is a hard copy to our memories and Erin creates an artistic masterpiece for her clients to display their everlasting memories. Erin has a creative approach while photographing babies, children, seniors and families providing unique artwork for everyone. Erin possesses a deep understanding of detail in a photojournalist approach while capturing a bride and groom on their wedding day. THEDESIGN: Erin custom designs a variety of print designs. Anything that can be printed, she can design. Erin specializes in invitations, programs, place cards, thank you cards, corporate marketing, etc. Erin believes the finer details bring completion to a party or event. What a better way to do this than to provide custom creations that fit a clients exact theme and needs .

Perceptions offers a variety of options for your special day. In addition to photography on your wedding day I offer engagement sessions, grooms dinner services, bridal preparations and destination wedding coverage. All collections include all images in high resolution digital format, rights of images released, artistic preparations and enhancements. FREE engagement sessions on select collections. A minimum of 4 hours is required for reserving wedding photography services.All portrait sessions take place at your home, outside or at a location of your choice. Studio sessions may be available upon request, additional charges may apply for studio set up.Travel fees may be applicable for sessions outside the Twin Cities area.

PHOTOGRAPHY information FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...What should I expect in a session? No two sessions will ever be the same. A location will be determined at the time of the consultation. The important thing is that the atmosphere will be relaxed for everyone, parents included. When should I book my session? Erin currently holds photo sessions on weekends and weekday evenings. Due to the high demand for these times sessions do book about 4 weeks in advance. Please feel free to call 612-965-1029 today to check availability and schedule your session. If you are looking at capturing memories of your new born it is recommended to schedule your appointment in the last few months of your pregnancy as we recommend new born sessions be photographed within the first 7 days of life. Adjustment to this appointment can be made when needed. Ask about our Treasured Perceptions Collection. Where will my session take place? Erin is an on location photographer. Photographs can be taken in the comfort of your own home, outside in your lawn, a near by park or any place of meaning to your children or family. Recommendations can be provided during consultation. How long does a session take? Sessions can last anywhere to 30 minutes to an hour on the long end. It is important to schedule the appointment around your childs schedule. More details can be provided during consultation. What should I wear? Clothing can make a portrait. For children select clothes the reflect them. Bring multiple outfits for a variety of looks. This isnt a typical portrait session so have fun! Less is more for newborns and babies. Nothing is as pure and innocent then babys skin. Dress the photo up by bringing a blanket or hat to give a unique style to the photographs. If you are unsure about your clothing selections we can discuss it during your consultation and Erin can provide recommendations or bring multiple options to the session and she will be more than willing to direct you in what will work best for the photos. After all, clothing changes are always welcomed. When can I see my portraits? All photographs go through an enhancing process prior to viewing. Photos are available 1 week after the session. This is when a disk with high resolution images will be sent out with a photo release form. Sneak previews will be available throughout the waiting period on Perceptions fan page.It's more than photography, it is an investment of art!
